
At opening bell, Nifty was up around 30 + points. Nifty tried unsucessfully to break the resistance around 5075- 5080 area. Then a sell off around 12.15 pm brought down Nifty to 5000 area. After churning around 5000 - 5030 it suddenly gave a false break to 5040, stopping out all weak hands who were short between 12.15pm - 3.00pm, it resumed its downward journey. After causing all the pain Nifty finally shut shop at 4985 , 42 points (0.83%) down.
- Sterlite(5.68%), SAIL(3.65%), PNB(2.11%), Cipla(1.93%) and Tata Steel(1.82%) were the top gainers among the Nifty Stocks
- Wipro(4.64%), Maruti(3.77%), TCS(3.61%), Rcom(3.21%) and HCL Tech(2.98%) were the top losers among the Nifty stock
- IT sector and Automoblies were leading the slide.
- Volatility has dramatically increased in the last two days. India VIX is currently at 30.48
- Index Options PCR is at 1.37
